The one passion I've had for even longer than I've been writing is art. I love art. I always have. You can tell and entire story in just a single image.

I've been creating art since I was four, in nearly every medium I've encountered. Pencil, pen and ink, pencil crayon, marker, oils, acrylics, watercolours, gouache, digital. Which one I use depends on what mood I'm in and I don't have any absolute favourite, unless it's simple pencil.

Here's some of my art pieces. I don't actively try to sell them, but I have sold pieces and if there's one you would like to buy, drop me a line and I'll let you know what the price is.

  1. Absolutely beautiful! Are most of them acrylic paintings or watercolor?

  2. Eek! I never saw this comment. Sorry!

No, they're digitally painted. Straight into the computer. I try and emulate oil painting though.

  4. I really like the "Speedpainting" with fairy lights, "Rest on the Trail," and the painting you sent out today of the fellow in the hood and bloody hand-wraps who has not yet introduced himself. Have you, would you, ever consider doing a cover image for another author? Do you ever do commissions? If not, do you know of any other artists that have a "painterly" aesthetic who would?

    1. Uh, no one's ever asked me to do paint a cover for them. I've done commissions in the past when I worked in oils, but no one's asked about my digital work at all. So I guess the answer is tentative yes? Maybe? Depends on what it is.

As for other artists, just check out Deviantart.com. there are a lot of fantastic artists on there.

    2. I love Deviant Art, but I don't know about just searching around. I have a sense of your professionalism and talent from your books and paintings already.

As I mentioned, my first idea for a book cover is for a scene much like the first "Speedpainting" on this page. I would want a particular person in it, and a creature. It would be for a book cover. If you're willing to explore this further, please email me at ciuincalled@gmail.com. Thanks, M
